Excellent tour, very informative about some of the awful events and people involved in the early days of the troubles. The tour was led by Mylie who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. Gave an excellent insight to the macro issues as well incredible detail of individual events. I would highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic walking tour with an exceptionally knowledgeable guide. The tour really challenged my preconceptions about what happened during this period of Irish history and brought it to life in a really poignant way through the telling of personal stories from every side, in a very human and neutral way.

My husband and I are on our honeymoon and we had an amazing experience with Mylie and her guidance! She was extremely knowledgeable in sharing the complicated history of Ireland. She shared powerful stories at everyday landmarks most people would walk by and think nothing of. We loved how she shared stories of civilians that were lost during the tragic violence of the troubles and keep their stories alive.

Terrific tour for those who want to enjoy an in depth look and discussion on the troubles and how it affected Belfast in the early 70s and beyond. Guides Mille (sorry I am misspelling her name and Eugene) were absolutely fantastic and provided balanced academic and personal perspectives (Millie having done her doctorate thesis on the troubles and Eugene having grown up during the era). Great way to spend 2.5 hrs learning about this fascinating period of Belfast and N. Ireland history.

Fascinating tour with very knowledgeable and friendly guides. Despite the rainy weather we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. The individual stories brought it to life.

If you don’t have much time in Belfast and are in doubt of which tour and activity to do, do NOT skip this tour. It was one of our favorite things in the city. I thought I already knew quite a lot about the troubles, but we learned so much in a relatively short amount of time and nothing beats personal accounts of what life was like living in Belfast at this difficult period. Thank you Jim for all your insights and for making it fun…despite the rain :) we would 100% recommend to plan in a tour with DC (Dead Centre Tours, name will also be explained in the tour if you are not familiar with the term).

The Troubles tour was excellent. It helped me better understand the conflict and it was expertly brought to life by our tour guide, Jim. Hearing some of the lesser known histories was particularly interesting and I have a new perspective of the city. The audio headsets were brilliant too - especially in the wind and rain, we didn't miss a word!
